Three persons including a woman were arrested after being found possessing 506 counterfeit
notes in Buttala, police said.

Two of three suspects were arrested when they were in a vehicle at Buttala town last night.
The other person who is said to be the mastermind behind the racket was also apprehended
later following information received, according to police.
The police have also seized several equipment used to print counterfeit notes.
The suspects will be produced before the Wellawaya Magistrate today
